Partnership Policy – The Monday Intermediate/Novice Game (0 to 299 masterpoints) is a "guaranteed partner" game.  This means that I will do my best to have someone available to play with patrons who do not have a partner for whatever reason –– visiting from out of town, new to the game, regular partner is not available, etc.   

It is the policy of ACBL and the HHI Bridge Club that the game director only play in limited situations.  In addition to not meeting the 299'er restriction, it puts me in an awkward position answering questions, making rulings, and maintaining the pace and play of the game.  I will only play in the game when, by playing, it makes the game a better experience for all players – such as eliminating a long (4-board) sit-out.  On such occasions, I will play under a pseudonym and will structure the game such that players will place normally just as if I were not playing in the game.

The policy of having a "guaranteed partner" should be a last resort to playing on Monday night.  Bridge is a partnership game!  You cannot do well in this game without a partnership.  I will work with anyone to help them find a regular, compatible partner.  If you need a partner for Monday nights please let me know ... I will help you find a partner!

Partners List  – On game day, I am preparing for the lesson and game and am not usually in a position to help you find a partner.  If you need to find a partner "on game day", I am compiling this Partnership List of players who have used the "guaranteed partner" program or who have expressed a willingness to play on Monday nights.  I hope this helps you find a partner.
