HHI Non Life Master

The HHI Fall NLM is now history.  The tournament had 144.5 tables over the four-day event – a new October record.  "Marty Davis did an outstanding job as tournament chair" stated Peter Seery, President of the HHI Bridge Association.  "I can think of no other club in our area that has such as impressive NLM tournament reputation.  Having Priscilla Smith as our tournament director this year was icing on the cake - she did a great job!"

Club Championship Week – The week of Oct 17^th through the 22^nd is the Bridge Club's Quarterly Club Championship Week.  All games are rated as club championships offering more points.  Playing in Club Championships is how you quickly accumulate points towards your Life Masters.

Novice Convention Card and Instructions

I have completed the "sample" Novice Convention Card and Instructions discussed at Monday Night's Lesson.  You can print the card and instructions ... click here or click on the Library button at the top of this page. 

It is an ACBL requirement that you have a convention card to play in the NLM Tournament beginning Thursday night and running through the weekend (see below).  This card is only a sample ... it is imperative that you discuss and have a partnership agreement on the system of bidding agreements (natural and conventional) that you will use.

And remember ... Bridge should be fun!

Non-Life Master (NLM) Tournament: October 13 to 16

The Non-Life Master Tournament starts Thursday at 7:00 pm with a Bracketed KO.  Games on Thursday, Friday and Saturday are at the RESIDENCE INN by MARRIOTT (Near Mile Marker 10).  The Swiss Teams on Sunday move back to the the Bridge Club.  You can obtain the tournament information (game schedules, times, location, accommodations, etc.) on line at the MABC web site ... click here .  If you need additional information or have special needs contact Marty Davis, the Tournament Chair, via phone 843/422-3150 or email .  If you need a partner or team contact Judy Eberle the Partnership Chair via phone 843/785-8166.

Monday, October 10^th Game

Last night we had 9 full tables ... GREAT turnout ... everybody is getting ready for the NLM.  Frank Mackay & John Delnero were 1st N/S and Dick Tracey & Coach Kefgen were 1st E/W.  Congratulations to all.  The game information including the handouts from last night and the game results (with Traveler scores) can be accessed from this web site.  In the index column to the left click on  Game Notices, Handouts & Files (or scroll down) and you will find a table that looks like the example below ... this table will be a reference resource for all Monday Night Games.

Thanks to Jane McKay

We all owe a special thanks to Jane McKay.  Each week Jane comes early and helps to set up the game; gets everyone signed in; and takes care of the money ... which allows us to focus on the lesson.  In addition, she also plays as our guaranteed partner on many nights when players are not able to find, bring or drag a partner to the game.  Thanks Jane.
