Monday Night Game: Notices, Handouts & Game Files

I have now set up a reference table for the Monday Night Game where you can access, refer, or print all of my handouts, study papers and/or game information.  For example if you want a copy of the NMF example hands we played last week you can reference it on my web site and print a copy.  If you lose your copy of my study paper on Introduction to New Minor Forcing (or need an updated copy) you can always pull up a copy on my web page and print another.  If you missed a class (off in Florida somewhere) and need a copy of the handout you can come to this page and print one.  In addition, you can obtain copies of all notices or review game files.

In the index of the left hand column, click on the topic Game Notices & Handouts (or scroll down) and you will find a table that looks like the example below ... this table will be a reference resource for all Monday Night Games.

T - is for table count.  - is the game notice.  - is the game handout.  - is the game file.  If the table dot is clear (^{-no file}) there is no file.  If the table dot is red (^{-file attached}) a file is attached.  If the table dot is blue (^-www) it is a link to the world wide web.  I hope you find this information useful.

Teams

There were no less than 6 intermediate/novice pairs come to play in the team game last night ... you can check the results by clicking on the following link ... the NLM Tournaments is coming soon (see below).  There is one more opportunity before the NLM Tournament ... if you want to play next Tuesday night with an experienced pair to learn about team games, let me know.  I will be glad to help you form a team.  Playing last night were:

You ever feel hung out to dry?

Beginning October 14 Peggy Gibson is teaching Bridge Basics 2: Competitive Bidding—Audrey Grant's newest book on competitive bidding.  This 6-week course covers the concepts needed when both sides are bidding for the contract.  Learn about competitive tools--preemptive opening bids including “weak twos”, overcalls, and takeout doubles. Master the important bids as partner—when to advance the bid, when to continue the preempt, and when to pass! Last night's game was a special Club Appreciation club championship game.  We had 7 full tables ... overall winners were:

Non-Life Master (NLM) Tournament: October 13 to 16

The Bridge Club hosts an ACBL District 7 - Non-Life Master (NLM) tournament here on HHI October 13 to 16.  You can obtain the tournament information: game schedules, times, location, accommodations, etc. by clicking on this link .  If you need additional information or have special needs contact Marty Davis, the Tournament Chair, via phone 843/422-3150 or email .  If you are interested in playing in the tournament, but don't have a partner or team contact Judy Eberle the Partnership Chair at 843/785-8166.
